I want to promote the OPEN RESEARCH SOCIETY, a Non Governmental and Non for Profit Organization Wordlwide. I don't like at all the barriers in the Knowledge diffusion of our times. some people like to develop authority games based on knowledge exclusion. I don't like at all some "facts" in the academic community. So I don't like the title academic. The "hunting for glory", the "need to promote the self image" the smiling faces that when you turn on your back are tranformed to other type do not fit at all with my personality. This is why, I like people that carry a truth. And in my short journey till now from Stavrodromi in Arcadia Greece, I was happy to find people to share common beliefs and visions. I work with my mind and soul fully engaged in the things I love. I get energy from people, places and ideas. I get bored from people that only ask for something. I use to make company with people that say from time to time do you want any help? And to all the others that feel that working for the things that you believe is out of their money adiction I say Kalimera. Recently I dont like my mobile to ring. Maybe it is a signal that I am growing. I don't know why I put these pages in an order. In most of the times I prefer to do handwriting in blank pages and to fold them in my wallet. The big plans of my life...My research focuses on the semantic web, knowledge management and e-learning, with more than 100 publications in these areas. I have (co)-edited 40 special issues in international journals (e.g. IEEE Transaction on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Internet Computing, IEEE Transactions on Education, etc.) and I have Authored/Edited 15 books.I am the founder and officer of the Semantic Web and Information Systems Special Interest Group in the Association for Information Systems. I serve as the (Co) Editor in Chief of 12 International journals while I am Associate Editor or Editorial Board member in seven more. I am also the Book Series Editor of 4 book Series. |
